This year has seen In Hearts Wake rise to become one of the nation's most admired acts. Following the release of Skydancer and its subsequent #2 debut on the ARIA chart, the band embarked on an entirely sold out tour of capital cities across Australia.

The momentum that has carried the band through the first half of 2015 shows no signs of slowing, with the band set to embark on The 'Badlands' Regional Tour throughout September.

Skydancer was the highest selling Australian album on its week of release and it marks the second top ten debut in twelve months for the band, with previous album Earthwalker entering the chart at #5.Skydancer has received media acclaim from the global music press, with Blunt Magazine calling it "a heck of a decent record," Rock Sound dubbing it "stunning," and The Music describing In Hearts Wake as "the real deal."

The release of Skydancer induced what was to become a pinnacle moment in the band's touring career. Beyond overwhelming energy in the room, all shows on the Skydancer Tour were sold to capacity, including a 2000 strong audience at the Sydney Roundhouse. The Melbourne event at 170 Russell was recorded by triple j to be aired as part of their Live At The Wireless program.

In Hearts Wake are currently wrapping up a successful run of shows overseas where they played an extraordinary set at Download Festival in the UK, Graspop in Belgium, a string of shows supporting Every Time I Die in France and Spain, and their first headlining shows in Europe. Foregoing any suggestion of rest, the second half of the year will see In Hearts Wake join Northlane for a run of Canadian/American dates in August before returning to Europe in support of Asking Alexandria in October.

Joining In Hearts Wake on The 'Badlands' Regional Tour will be special guests Make Them Suffer, Ocean Grove and Stories.

The Dark Horses Tour

The 'dark horse' springs from nowhere, claiming unexpected, sometimes shocking success. Having weathered a two year break up, member departures, various personal obstacles and almost five years without a recorded release, it's easy to consider THE GETAWAY PLAN as such. Their anticipated third LP Dark Horses will be revealed on July 3.

Working with long time friend of the band Samuel K on production duties, this is The Getaway Plan's first album conceived, written and recorded completely in Australia. Funded through the generosity of the band's famously dedicated fan base, Dark Horses sees the band refine their sound, drawing together lessons learned on 2008's wildly successful Other Voices, Other Rooms and 2011's Requiem . The writing process for this record was open, the band members collaborating with a newfound vigour. Strange, that after ten years in the saddle this band is finally beginning to find their feet. Sample their efforts via introductory track 'Landscapes'.

The Getaway Plan have engendered their 'Dark Horses' with optimistic spirit of focus, determination and dedication from which it sprang. Catch The Getaway Plan on the road this year as they introduce it to the world with all the passion with which their name has always been synonymous.

It would be hard to find a voice that captures the mood of a song more perfectly than this one.

It's the voice that soars with inspiration, soul and warmth. The voice of course belongs to Australian singer Daryl Braithwaite.

In a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years Daryl Braithwaite is one of Australia's award winning premier performers.

His initial success as a singer came with Sherbet, a band which will forever remain in the history books of Australian music.

Following the success of Sherbet, Daryl returned to the Australian Music Scene in a very big way as a solo performer in 1988 with the release of the phenomenally successful Album 'Edge' which spent well over a year in the national charts.'

"The Horses" was the fourth biggest selling single in Australia for 1991 and was named Song Of The Year at the 1991 Australian Music Awards. The unexpected success of the single also led to a sold out tour of Australia. Daryl again proved that he had what it takes to make an album work and both the critics and public agreed.

Hoodoo Guru in Chief, Dave Faulkner was once asked whether the band he sings and plays guitar for, had left an influence. "I know we have," he replied. "I see it in lots of things going on, but whether it's our influence or people that we were influenced by, who can tell? I see our way of thinking, which is something that when we started I didn't see as much of."

The Hoodoo Gurus formed in Sydney on January 1, 1981 to play their first "show" in an inner city lounge room. Core members are Dave Faulkner and Brad Shepherd joined along the way by Mark Kingsmill ('83) and Rick Grossman ('89)

The band’s debut Stoneage Romeos, full of garage punk songs and pop references, was named Australian Debut Album of the Year and was released in America where it stayed at number 1 in the Alternative / College charts for 7 weeks, becoming one of the most played albums for the year on the college network.

Mars Needs Guitars, the band’s second album, topped the charts and went gold within three weeks and platinum shortly afterwards. Blow Your Cool, released in 1986, was a massive pop hit propelled by the band’s highest charting single 'What's My Scene”. Album 4, Magnum Cum Louder, reaches Number One on the American College and Alternative charts. Followed by albums Kinky, Crank, Blue Cave, Mach Schau and Purity of Essence the band continued to tour regularly through Europe, North America, Australia and Brazil.

In 2011 and 2012 the band curated and headlined the extremely successful Dig It Up national tour comprised of some 26 bands and solo artists each year who all shared the same the love of the culture and music that inspired the Hoodoo Gurus.

Through Sony Music the Gurus released their successful "Gold Watch" best of compilation in 2011.

The Hoodoo Gurus were inducted into Australian Music Hall of Fame in July, 2007.
